Anna "Rita" Moroni

Moroni, Anna Rita, passed away Friday, September 6, 2019. Loving aunt of Angela (Al) Castillo, Louise (the late Robert) Blake, Louis (Anne) Moroni, Michael (Mary) Moroni, Sally Moroni and Mary (Laurence) Knill. Preceded in death by her parents Louis Peter and Angeline Patricia (nee Gualdoni); brothers’ Paul, Louis (the late Marion); sister Marie Sarah; nephew Paul and nieces Marie and Pauline. Anna was a world traveler who was very sociable and made many friends through her lifetime. She spent her whole working life with Community Chest, later known as the United Foundation and today known as United Way. She was a member of the Executive Woman International (EWI), serving as President for one year. Rita will be remembered most for being a great aunt to many and a loyal friend who will be truly missed by all. Visitation Wednesday, September 11 from 2pm to 9pm with a Rosary at 7pm at Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 13650 E. 15 Mile Road, Sterling Heights. Instate Thursday 9:30am until time of Funeral Mass 10am at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 6021 Whittier Street, Detroit. Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Detroit.
