David Charles Joyce

Joyce, David, passed away March 5, 2021, age 58. Beloved husband of Nora (nee Thompson) for 31 years. Loving father of Sean (Julia Waite) Thompson. Cherished son of Ethel and Christopher. Dear brother of Sue, Peter, Anita and the late Tony. Also survived by his nieces and nephews. A memorial will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home.

Dave came to the United States from England when he was 4 years old with his brother Tony. Within time he had 3 additional siblings. He went to school in Warren. Eventually he met his wife and raised his son Sean to be the best he could be. Instilling his values in him. Dave was a very kind, gentle and humble guy. There was never a time that he wouldn’t make the time to help someone out. Throughout his life he had many pets Lil Henry, Diesel and Cesar. To Dave there was nothing better than to come home after working and have a cold beer and a cigarette and watch TV. He was a huge U of M fan and stayed loyal to the Lions. Playing cards was one of Dave’s favorite past times. If there was a poker game count him in. By trade Dave was a model maker and took great pride in his profession. Dave had such a sense of humor. Even to the end he still joked and had a smile. He will be truly missed.
