Diana Zaccagnini, passed away suddenly on July 8, 2019. Beloved wife of Julius of 20 years. Dear mother of John, Gregory and the late Todd Davey. Proud grandmother of Laura Davey and the late Timothy Davey survived by her siblings Marie (Bill) Robinson, John Wishaw and the late Richard Wishaw. Sister in law of Marilyn (Jon) Henry. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
As a young woman Diana was a very talented pianist with an incredible singing voice. She really enjoyed swing and jazz music. Diana graduated from Saint Bennedict Catholic School and later attended college. Diana was first married to John Davey; they share 3 boys, John, Gregory and Todd Davey. After their divorce, Diana was driven to succeed and she put herself through college while waitressing and raising her 3 boys on her own. Later serving Ford Motor Company as an Executive Assistant to the Vice President of marketing for 30 years. In, 1979 Diana met the love of her life Julius Zaccagnini. After a 20 year courtship they married in 1999. Diana and Julius loved to play golf, travel together, along with spending time with their family and friends. Diana was also a breast cancer survivor. Facing breast cancer shifted her outlook on life, to embrace each day with joy. Diana was a member of the All Star Golf League, Bariscianotti Club and the Italian American Cultural Society. Diana was generous to a fault to all and her infectious laughter and love for children will be cherished by all who knew her.
Visitation at the Sterling Heights Chapel of Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 13650 East 15 Mile Road, Sunday, July 14, 2019 from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass, Monday, July 15, 2019 at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 18201 23 Mile Road, Macomb, MI 48042. Instate at 9:30 AM until time of Mass at 10:00 AM. Entombment at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East.
