Gianfranco Radegonda

Radegonda, Gianfranco, Age 74, entered into heavenly paradise on April 11th, 2021. Beloved husband of Livia for 52 years.  Loving father to Ida (Dustin) Turczynski, Anita (Ralph) Perry, and John.  Proud grandfather to Nicholas, Angelina, Alexander, Liliana, and Marco.  

He is also survived by his step mother, Giuseppina Radegonda, and siblings, Ennio (Patty) Radegonda, Teresa (Sean) McCann, and Pino (Vera) Cozzolino. He was also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law the late Antonio (the late Diane Orselli), Maria (Giuseppe) Esposito, and Annina (the late Mario) Signorelli, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Franco married his wife Livia on November 16th 1968, and moved to Sterling Heights, MI, where they raised their family.  He worked as a Tool & Die Maker at Chrysler for 27 years, and retired at age 59.  He had a love for the outdoors, and enjoyed water skiing, riding his jet ski, taking care of his massive garden, snorkeling, traveling, dancing and, perhaps, at the top of his list, firing up the old chain saw to cut down a tree or two.  His quick wit and sense of humor was always appreciated and his love for his family and friends was ever present.  He was a kind and generous man, willing to help wherever, whenever or however he could.  An original Mr. Fix-It, he always figured out a way.  

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

A memorial to celebrate Franco’s life will be held at a future date.
