Josephine Marchetti

Josephine Marchetti, (nee Serazio), passed away March 6, 2023, age 89.

Beloved wife of the late Giacomo. Loving mother of Lynn (Roger) Hazard, James (Jackie) Marchetti, Mary Jo Marchetti, and Paul (Michelle) Marchetti. Dear grandmother of Jamison Marchetti, Lauren (Zack) Daigle, Wayne (Kaitlin) Hazard, Justin (Carmen) Marchetti, Matthew Wiebelhaus, Amber (James) Womble, Stephanie (Brandon) Learning, and Nicholas (Meredith) Stevers. Great-grandmother of Colt, Lily, Jeremy, Ashton, Jonah, Amelia, and Ellie.

Josephine worked for many years as a nurse at Cottage Hospital in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. She loved to play golf with her husband, especially at their favorite course, Garland. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting and playing the piano. Above all she loved to spoil her grandchildren and spend time playing cards, especially Italian Pinochle, with them. Faith was an important part of her life, Josephine lived as a devout Catholic.

Visitation Tuesday, March 14, 2023 from 3-8pm with a Rosary at 7pm at Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 13650 E. Fifteen Mile, Sterling Heights, MI.

Funeral Mass Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at 10am with Instate at 9:30am at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 18201 23 Mile, Macomb, MI.

In lieu of flowers donations made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
