Spooner, Larry L., age 72, September 28, 2020. Beloved and devoted husband of his lifelong love, Gracie, for 51 years. Dear father of Christopher (Lori), Aimee (Kevin), Melissa (Joe) Raymond and Jim Crellin. Proud grandfather of Jonathan, Gracie, Jordan, Eric, London, Norah and Harper. Loving brother of Howard (Lavern) Clay, Ronald (Brenda) Clay, Chiquita (Julius) Harrison, Daniel (Emiliana) Spooner and preceded in death by his brothers Phillip Clay and Bruce Clay. He is loved and missed by his many nieces and nephews. Larry owned his own business, Wolverine Sales Associates, in Clinton Township for 25 years. After retirement, he started his second career as a Ranger at Rammler Golf Club. Larry was not an avid golfer, golf was his life. A memorial gathering will take place on Saturday, October 10 from 1pm to 4pm at Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 13650 East 15 Mile Road in Sterling Heights. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ted Wahby Cancer Center, 1080 Harrington Street, Mount Clemens, 48043. In honor of Larry’s service in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, interment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.
