Marcia Ann Tonio

Tonio, Marcia A. (nee Ferenkiewicz), January 14, 2023, age 73.

Beloved wife of the late Bill. Dear mother of Michelle (Reed) Smith, Joe (Jennifer) and Bill. Proud grandmother of Molly, Ryan and Leo. Sister of Kathy (Ken) Chojnacki.

Marcia grew up in Detroit attending St. Bartholomew grade school and graduating from St. Ladislaus High School.  

She worked at Chevrolet Gear and Axle up to having her first child. She was a fantastic homemaker and also had different jobs over the years that suited her interests like Joanne Fabrics, The Fabric Store and Dudek Foods.  

Marcia was a talented seamstress and loved to sew outfits and amazing Halloween costumes for her children and grandchildren. In fact growing up, she made all three of her children’s costumes every year which are still used today.  She also enjoyed cross stitching and quilting. 

Marcia enjoyed spoiling her beloved dogs.  Her dog Rudy was even able to visit her in the hospital. She would often have dog treats in her coat pocket to give to other dogs she might meet when she was out. 

Marcia enjoyed cooking and baking.  She also loved flowers and enjoyed planting and caring for her own flower garden as well as going on garden walks with her friends.

Marcia loved spending time with her family and shared her many talents with her children and grandchildren.  Marcia was a very giving person with both her time and resources.  She always wanted to share what she had with others.

Visitation at the Sterling Heights Chapel of the Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 13650 East 15 Mile Road, Wednesday, January18, 2023 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm with Scripture Service at 7:00 pm.

Funeral Mass, Thursday, January 19, 2023 at St. Martin De Porres Catholic Church, 31555 Hoover Road, Warren, MI 48093, Instate at 10:30 am until time of Mass at 11:00 am.

Burial at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan.
