Mark T. Turczyn, Sr.

Mark Turczyn Sr., age 63, passed away at his home in Sterling Heights, Michigan on April 16, 2021. Mark was born on October, 11, 1957 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Joseph and Krystna Turczyn. Mark was the youngest of three and grew up with two brothers. He married the love of his life, Kathy in 1983, and they were married for thirty seven years. They had three children together.

Mark was an avid train and sports enthusiast. His favorite sports team was the Red Wings. He was a Lions fan because he had to be and always joked about the shirt his nephew gave him that said, “rebuilding” since 1957. Every year Mark was excited to attend Nascar with his family, and his enthusiasm for the race was shone from the smile on his face. Only a car enthusiast like Mark would be so thrilled to ride in a Nascar at MIS, but it fulfilled a lifelong dream.

Mark loved people, and he was always open to a conversation to just about anything-family, sports, weather, and if you shared that story with a donut or piece of cake, Mark and you were best friends. In his conversations he loved to tell stories, and they always included the family and friends he loved, the neighbors he cared for, his pride of his Polish heritage, or his passion for sports, cars and Lionel Trains. We will miss those stories every day.

He left behind his beloved wife, Kathy Turczyn. Three kids, Mark Jr., Lauren and Michael. Dear brother of George (Jane) Turczyn and the late Rick Turczyn. Loving brother-in-law of the late Carol Jones, John (Susan) Malkowski, Kenneth (Lori) Malkowski, Darlene (Tom) Glaze, Donna Malkowski and the late James Malkowski. Uncle of Kristina, Kelli, Jason, Brian, Laura, Duane, Tammy, Johnny, Donald, Vicki, Daniel, Shannon, Matthew and Adell.

Visitation Wednesday, April 21, 2021 from 2:00 P.M to 8:00 P.M. Service Thursday 10:30 A.M with visitation at 9:30 A.M. at Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 13650 East 15 Mile Rd. Sterling Hts. 48312. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Twp.

Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic and Governor’s Orders face masks must be worn and proper social distancing is required.
