Raimondo "Dino" Ciavatta

Ciavatta, Raimondo "Dino" Age 90 of Clinton Township, Michigan passed away Thursday, June 25, 2020. Dino was born in the city of Dogana, in the Republic of San Marino on January 11, 1930. He  met and married his sweetheart Maria, in San Marino and then emigrated to the U.S in 1954. The first several years in this country he lived and worked in Niagara Falls, New York. He later settled in Detroit and learned the construction trades and eventually began his own concrete business; C&B Cement Co.  He was a long time member of the San Marino Social Club in Troy, Michigan.

He is survived by his wife Maria (nee: Aluigi) of 67 years. Loving father of Wanda Gatti, Leo (Sylvia) Ciavatta and Aileen Ciavatta. Proud Nono of Savana, Santino and Angelo Ciavatta, Christina (Christopher) Henninger and Steven (Andrea) Gatti. Great grandfather of Daniel Henninger, Logan and Ethan Gatti. Brother to Eugenio (Severina) and Alessandro (Graziella) Ciavatta of the Republic of San Marino.

Visitation at the Sterling Heights Chapel of Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home,13650 East 15 Mile Road, Wednesday, July 1, 2020 from 3:00PM until 8:00PM with a Rosary at 7:00PM.
Due to continued restrictions from the governors office, visitation will be allowed in small groups with social distancing guidelines in place, masks will be required.
The family will have a private mass for immediate family only, at San Francesco Catholic Church, 22870 South Nunneley Road, Clinton Township, MI 48045, followed by an entombment at Resurrection Cemetery.
