I am so sorry to hear of "Aunt Laura's" passing. She was such a friendly and kind presence at holiday gatherings, and always so interested in what others were doing. Her inherent modesty prevented her from touting her own considerable achievements.
Her graceful and cheerful presence will be missed. My sincerest condolences to her family.

"Aunt Laura" as she was known to her family was a kind, intelligent, and elegant lady. Her professional accomplishments were extraordinary for a woman of her generation, yet she was unassuming and generous. Given her declining health in recent years, her family may find some solace in knowing that she is in a better place. Still, this is a loss for you, and I send deepest sympathy and caring.
